Global Oceanographic DAta Center (GODAC) was established by JAMSTEC in Nago City, November 24, 2001.
GODAC archives various data, such as videos and photos, obtained by JAMSTEC vessels and submersibles and opens those to the public.
GODAC also promotes education on earth science and oceanography.

"GODAC Data Site NUUNKUI" is the supplied service of Marine-Earth Science data provided by the Global Oceanographic Data Center (GODAC). NUUNKUI, a word from the Okinawa dialect, refers to "every thing".

GODAC is an exhidition facility to publicly introduce the on-going research projects along with research results,and present the latest information about the Earth and its oceans in an easy-to-understand format.

Exhibition of earth science and oceanography

GODAC welcomes visitors for facility tour.We exhibits varioumodels of vessels, vehicles and observation equipment.
It takes about 30min-45min to look around the facility.
For those in a small group, please feel free to visit GODAC when it is open.
Guided tour and demonstration experiment such as hydraulic pressure are available. You can also enjoy variety of books and DVD videos at our small library.

Group visitors

For a group of 10 or more people, please apply in advance. We offer variouis tours.
We can arrange program upon your request.
